About UCAT
“The University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT ANZ) is a computer based admissions test used by the UCAT ANZ Consortium of universities in Australia and New Zealand for their medical, dental and clinical science degree programmes. The test helps universities to select applicants with the most appropriate abilities and professional behaviours required for new doctors and dentists to be successful in their clinical careers. It is used in collaboration with other admissions processes such as interviews and academic qualifications.”
Due to the popularity of Medicine, Dentistry, and clinical science degrees, achieving a high UCAT score is a crucial step in gaining entry into these degrees. It is a criteria for selection of interviews for most Australian universities and contributes to 20-40% of the overall selection score. Unfortunately UCAT is not taught at school and students are often under-prepared for this style of test having no prior exposure throughout primary or secondary education. Having early exposure and practice is key to success for the UCAT examination, with students often starting preparation in Year 10 or 11 before taking the test in Year 12. Some students may take the UCAT multiple times even during their undergraduate degree in hopes of transferring to their desired university program.
Our tutors have all achieved outstanding UCAT results themselves and can help in a variety of ways:
- Personalised learning – tailored to individual needs
- Early preparation in Years 10, 11 or 12
- Exposure to the variety of questions used in UCAT
- Tips & tricks for success
- Past experiences & practice questions
- Online or in-person sessions available
Fees:
Private sessions start from $71.5 for online tutoring and $88 for in person tutoring.
Student numbers are very limited so please register your interest ASAP via email [email protected] or telephone (08) 8257 9151.
